HDR is offering Transportation Intern opportunities intended to provide hands-on experience across highway design, planning, structural engineering, rail, construction, and aviation. You’ll work with engineers and project managers on impactful projects shaping communities.

Preferred qualifications include current civil engineering students and internship experience; local candidates are favored. The role is based in Tennessee with real-world project involvement and field opportunities.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with highway design tasks including roadway plan production, design details, and plan notes.
• Support traffic engineering and transportation planning projects through data analysis and forecast.
• Assist CAD drawings for bridges, box culverts and retaining walls; perform quantity calculations and cost estimates.
• Participate in field visits, construction observations, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and project stakeholders to support project delivery.
