Job summary

Woolpert is seeking multiple Transportation Engineering Interns for Spring 2027 in Ohio (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati). The internship is full-time (40 hours/week) with in-office expectations and no housing provided.

You will work on diverse transportation projects under licensed engineers, using Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer. Qualified students pursuing Civil Engineering or related fields, with strong communication and multitasking abilities, who can relocate to Ohio or commute to offices,

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university, preferably with at least sophomore status.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree or civil adjacent degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
• Be ready and open to learning!
• Be located in Ohio near one of our offices or be willing to relocate at your own expense as this position requires at least 2 days/week of in office time.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
