Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking multiple Transportation Engineering Interns for Spring 2027 across our Ohio offices (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland). The co-op is full-time (40 hours/week) and onsite, with no housing/visa sponsorship.

You will work with licensed engineers on traffic, roadway, bridges, and planning projects. Ideal candidates are pursuing Civil Engineering, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
• Be ready and open to learning.
• Be located in Ohio near one of our offices or be willing to relocate at your own expense as this position requires at least 2 days/week of in office time.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the industry leading Transportation team.
• Gain real-world experience working on actual projects alongside Licensed Engineers that are experts in their fields.
• Assist on a variety of projects doing such things as analysis, design, plan production and cost estimation.
• Use industry leading applications such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer, alongside discipline specific programs that aid in design.
• Work as a member of a team that coordinates with other internal teams and external subconsultants and clients.
• Perform tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence.
