Mead & Hunt, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to support a range of transportation projects across the state.

You'll assist with project development, use Autodesk Civil 3D to prepare design documents, and help develop construction cost estimates. This internship provides hands-on experience in office and field settings, with mentorship from experienced engineers on projects from local communities to interstate scale.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or related field from an accredited college or university.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation engineering projects through office and field assignments.
• Use Autodesk Civil 3D to prepare engineering and design documents, computations, and quantity estimates.
• Analyze and prepare reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits and other design documents for projects.
• Assist CAD-based design work and support the design and plan production of transportation-related projects.
• Support roadway, site, and transportation design efforts through calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Participate in construction inspection, documentation, and field observation activities.
• Assist with surveying and data collection efforts.
• Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned.
