Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern (Co-op) for the Fall 2026 term in Toledo, OH. You will support the Transportation team in planning, design, and permitting of infrastructure projects, performing engineering analyses and preparing design documents.

Engage with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience with drainage analysis, traffic engineering, and utility coordination, and contribute to cost-effective, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and permitting of projects involving drainage analysis, roadway geometrics, traffic engineering, pedestrian mobility, utility design and coordination, and water quality design.
• Perform conceptual and detailed engineering calculations and analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documentation.
• Support the development of construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure standard engineering practices and appropriate documentation are incorporated into reports and design deliverables.
• Interface and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project team members.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned tasks in a safe, timely, cost‑effective, and compliant manner.
• Apply relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards to project work.
