Job summary
Texas Department of Transportation Bryan District seeks an Engineering Assistant to support licensing pathways, perform transportation engineering tasks, and assist in surveys and data collection at project sites. You will create PS&E, drawings, and use CAD/design software under supervision of a licensed engineer.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science; substitutions allowed per TX PELS requirements.
- Master's or Doctoral degrees may substitute for a Bachelor's degree if ABET-accredited.
- Engineering Assistant II requires TX Engineer In Training Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Actively prepares for professional engineering licensing/registration through training and exams.
- Applies engineering principles to transportation-related activities.
- Assists during emergencies and inclement weather.
- Collects engineering data at project sites.
- Creates detailed PS&E and designs.
- Reviews drawings and plans.
- Uses CAD/design software for drafting and analysis.
