Job summary

UES is seeking a Transportation Engineer to lead efforts in the Department of Transportation for the Mid-Atlantic Region. This role includes business development, project oversight in geotechnical or construction materials testing, and maintaining strong client relationships. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering and a PE license, with at least 5 years of work experience. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, preparing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in construction materials or geotechnical engineering as a proven leader and producer in the DOT sector.
• Proven experience in client communication, engagement, and presentation to others.
• Ability to write technical reports and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current client/customer relationships and grow additional client/customer base for new sector.
• Provide senior technical oversight and expertise in complex proposals and projects.
• Prepare reports, specifications, plans, and testing schedules for projects.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar

NC/SC Professional Engineering license (PE)
