About the Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated Transportation Engineer seeking career advancement in our Houston, Katy, or Cedar Park, TX offices. This role involves developing transportation projects with municipal and County clients, supervising transportation projects within our Texas Transportation Group, and collaborating across diverse disciplines and offices.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Develop transportation work for municipal clients in collaboration with leadership.
2. Manage local and Federal Aid projects for various clients, including Local Agencies, DOT, and Counties.
3. Lead projects involving roadway, utility, drainage, traffic, and infrastructure improvements.
4. Engage in business development activities such as proposals, contracts, teaming, and interviews.
5. Maintain and develop client relationships.
6. Mentor staff and facilitate training opportunities.
7. Identify staffing needs and support hiring processes.
8. Establish design and quality control standards.
9. Ensure effective communication between management and staff.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering degree.
• Licensed TX Professional Engineer.
• 5+ years relevant experience; 2+ years in project management.
• Experience with municipalities, counties, and roadway/infrastructure design per TXDOT and County standards.
• Willingness to attend client meetings and marketing events, occasionally at night.
• Ability to travel within TX (own transportation required).
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational skills, and self-motivation.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $100,000 - $125,000, based on experience, skills, and certifications.
