Job summary

Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting seeks a Full-Time Transportation Engineer to join our on-site team in Minot, Williston, or Fargo, ND. You will design transportation projects, collaborate with DOT and stakeholders, and advance toward a PE license while growing technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• EIT certification required with PE within 12 months or ND PE license.
• 3–6 years in transportation or civil engineering design and consulting preferred.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer expected.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop transportation plans and design roadways, highways, bridges and related facilities.
• Prepare construction documents and traffic control plans.
• Analyze traffic flow for safety improvements and coordinate with contractors/public agencies.
• Conduct site inspections and contribute to technical reports and proposals.
• Lead project tasks and mentor junior staff as needed.
