Job summary

Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting seeks a Full-Time Transportation Engineer to join our onsite team in Minot, Williston, or Fargo, ND. You will lead transportation projects, develop plans and construction documents, and work with DOT and stakeholders to improve safety and efficiency.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $110,000, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA, PTO, life insurance, disability coverage, and supplemental options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis on transportation.
• EIT certification required; PE license within 12 months or North Dakota PE.
• 3–6 years of transportation or civil engineering design and consulting experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop transportation plans and construction documents.
• Analyze traffic flow patterns for safety improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors and public agencies.
• Conduct site inspections and contribute to technical reports and proposals.
