Job summary

Ackerman-Estvold is looking for a Full-Time Transportation Engineer to join our onsite team in Minot, Williston, or Fargo, ND. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will tackle real-world challenges using OpenRoads technology while working collaboratively with the DOT and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, EIT certification, and 3-6 years of relevant experience. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $105,000 annually, along with various benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline with emphasis on transportation.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification, with expectation of obtaining a North Dakota PE license within 12 months.
• 3‑6 years of transportation or civil engineering design and consulting experience.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement transportation projects including roadways, highways, bridges, and transit systems.
• Prepare construction documents and analyze traffic flow patterns for safety improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors and public agencies, conduct site inspections.
• Contribute to technical reports and proposals for clients.
• Lead project tasks that impact urban and rural areas.
