Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a civil engineering student for an Internship in our State College, PA office. You will gain exposure to transportation engineering disciplines and collaborate with experienced engineers on projects from local intersections to major interchanges.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Positive attitude and willingness to cooperate with others.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with transportation engineers on projects from local intersections to major interchange programs.
• Gain exposure to different disciplines within transportation engineering.

We are currently seeking a civil engineering student for an Internship position in our State College, PA office. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to the different disciplines within transportation engineering.

You’ll collaborate directly with experienced engineers on projects ranging from local intersection improvements to major interchange and corridor programs — with clients including PennDOT, MDOT, DelDOT, VDOT, and private-sector partners across the Mid-Atlantic. You will gain broad project exposure (with occasional national and international work) and hands‑on experience from day one.

Requirements:

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Ability to effectively communicate orally/written.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Experience working with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.

The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $21.50 - 24.50.. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
