Job summary

Apex is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our Florida team, delivering roadway, drainage, and multimodal infrastructure projects for FDOT and local governments. You will design plans, develop technical documentation, and collaborate with utilities and stakeholders to ensure practical, cost-effective solutions.

Qualified candidates have a Civil Engineering degree, a possible EI/PE license, and experience with FDOT standards and OpenRoads Designer/MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EI certification or PE license depending on experience level.
• Experience with transportation, roadway, drainage, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of FDOT standards and design practices.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing roadway, drainage, and transportation design plans.
• Developing calculations, quantities, estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinating with utilities, permitting agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Participating in field reviews, constructability evaluations, and quality control reviews.
• Assisting with proposal development and client support efforts.
