Job summary

Burgess & Niple, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join their Indianapolis team. You will assist in delivering transportation design services to a variety of clients across Indiana while collaborating with senior engineers to solve complex challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and be keenly interested in transportation systems. Excellent communication and proficiency with Bentley software are preferred. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering.

B&N Transportation Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities

• Participate in delivering professional transportation design services to a wide variety of clients throughout Indiana
• Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff on solving complex engineering problems
• Develop roadway design layouts, models, plan sheets, cost estimates, and exhibits
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as needed to deliver projects

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering
• Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
• Proficiency with Bentley Products (MicroStation, Open Roads) preferred or ability to become proficient with software within 6 months.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
