The Iowa Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Engineer Associate responsible for materials oversight in highway and bridge projects. This role involves inspection, testing, and technical consultation, providing an opportunity for professional growth and significant impact on public transportation projects.
This position serves in the Iowa Department of Transportation's District 2 Materials Officeand is responsible for assisting with materials-related oversight of Iowa DOT highway and bridge projects within a 19-county area in Northeast Iowa. This position is responsible for learning the inspection, sampling, and testing of project materials, running the district materials testing laboratory, monitoring production from highway material sources, overseeing material documentation-related portions of project audits, and providing technical consultation.

Location: Mason City District Office
Shift:Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM.
