Job Summary
The Transportation Engineer will handle all aspects of engineering design for airports and municipal projects, including CAD production, Civil 3D, stormwater management, cost estimating, specification writing, and construction field observation. The role requires compliance with government regulations to ensure airport facilities meet all applicable codes. The engineer must uphold professional ethics and engineering standards. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager as needed.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position mainly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. Lifting of lightweight office supplies (up to 20 pounds) may be required. The environment is indoors with controlled temperatures. Visual acuity and color differentiation are necessary, along with sound recognition. Effective communication skills are essential. The role requires adaptability to workflow changes and prolonged sitting.
Expected Hours of Work
The ICE office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. Work schedules may vary based on project needs. This is an onsite role reporting to the ICE office five days a week, with some weekend work as needed.
