Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Transportation Engineer to support roadway design projects across various stages of the project lifecycle. You will develop roadway design models and construction plan sets using Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), with Civil 3D experience also considered for candidates willing to learn ORD.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Modeling experience for roadway/highway design in CAD, preferably ORD.
• Familiarity with AASHTO (Green Book), DOT standards, and MUTCD.
• Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of tasks/projects.

• Support project delivery across roadway design projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and design teams to align with scope, schedule and deliverables.
• Assist with leadership responsibilities, client interaction, and mentorship of junior staff as experience allows.

Compensation: 70k-170k (dependent on years of experience)

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-5

This individual will develop roadway design models and construction plan sets using Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), with Civil 3D experience also considered for candidates willing to learn ORD. Responsibilities include supporting project delivery, coordinating with project managers and design teams, and ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and deliverables. Depending on experience, this role may also include project leadership, client interaction, and mentorship of junior staff.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in a relevant field, such as B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Modeling experience for roadway/highway design in CAD, preferably with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD) (Civil 3D experience is acceptable with a willingness to learn ORD)
• General understanding of roadway and highway design standards, specifications, and cost estimating, including familiarity with AASHTO (Green Book), DOT standards, and MUTCD
• Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of tasks/projects
