We are seeking a skilled Transportation Engineer to support the design and construction of transportation infrastructure projects for state and local Departments of Transportation (DOT). The ideal candidate will have experience in roadway design, traffic engineering, and construction oversight, with a strong understanding of DOT standards and specifications.

Location: Tulsa, OK — Salary: $120,000 – $160,000

Key Responsibilities

• Design Support: Prepare and review roadway, intersection, and highway design plans using CAD and design software (e.g., ORD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, grading, drainage, and pavement designs in compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, technical reports, and design calculations.
• Construction Support: Provide engineering oversight during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and DOT representatives to resolve design and field issues.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, surveyors, and environmental specialists.
• Support project managers in scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.
• Ensure all deliverables meet DOT standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
