Placements24 seeks a Transportation Engineer to join our client’s team in a hybrid role combining remote work with site visits. You will plan, design, and analyze roadways, intersections, and public transit systems, applying traffic engineering principles to improve mobility and safety across communities in South Africa and beyond.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with a transportation focus, 5-7 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in traffic analysis and modelling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
• 5-7 years of experience in transportation planning and design.
• Proficiency with traffic analysis and modelling software.
• Knowledge of South African road design standards and traffic engineering practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both a remote and on-site capacity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and safety assessments for transportation projects.
