Arizona Department of Transportation is seeking a Construction Scheduler to organize, review, and comment on project schedules in Phoenix. The role develops and updates critical path schedules, estimates contract time, and prepares CPM-based reports.
Some remote work options within Arizona may be available based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities include evaluating CPM schedules, using Primavera P6 for analysis, maintaining Road User Cost spreadsheets, and supporting Value
Under general supervision and as directed, organize, review, and comment on project schedules. Develop and update critical path schedules and estimates of contract time, maintain project information, use scheduling tools to monitor the projects as planned, conduct scheduling and delay analysis, review resource and cost loaded schedules, and prepare reports using Critical Path Method (CPM). Maintains Road User Cost spreadsheets and reviews calculations. Complete other tasks as needed for the Construction Group.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Evaluate, review, and comment on contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules. Complete, comment, and analyze reports. Use Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools for analysis and review. Assist in Value Engineering Study processes.

Assess schedule performance and specification compliance to meet the on-time delivery and performance goals of the department.

Arizona PE Licensure is required for this position. A candidate who holds an active PE in another state will be required to meet registration requirements set forth by the Arizona Technical Board of Registration and attain an Arizona PE from the Board within6 months of employment start date.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
