Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Transportation Engineer in Michigan to design and optimize highways, roads, and related transportation projects. The role requires hands-on use of AutoCAD and MicroStation to deliver detailed plans and oversee construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of transportation engineering experience, strong analysis skills for traffic conditions, and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation and relevant design software.
• A valid driver’s license and readiness to travel as needed for project work.
• Experience coordinating with highway design contractors and construction teams.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the design, site development, and traffic engineering.

• Design highways, roads, develop, and implement transportation engineering projects, and other related structures.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to create detailed designing, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure including highways, bridges, tunnels, rail, airports, projects, ports and mass transit systems.
• Conduct studies to determine traffic conditions and analyses to evaluate the most feasible traffic flow and safety improvements, and develop solutions taking into account factors such as travel time, intersections and roadway geometry.
• Prepare technical cost, safety, and sustainability reports, proposals.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, architects and project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines.
• Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards and timeline.

We are seeking a highly motivated Permanent Transportation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about designing and improving transportation engineering and is eager to take on new challenges.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and engineering design tools.
• Extensive knowledge of highway and roadway design, site development, and traffic engineering.
