Job summary

Kapur & Associates is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer – Transportation to join our Fort Wayne office. You will contribute to planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

The role offers opportunities to perform site investigations, develop engineering plans and reports, and learn industry best practices while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• FE certification is required.
• PE license is preferred, but not required.
• Strong academic background with a focus on transportation engineering coursework.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or other relevant tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers in the planning and design of transportation projects
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather relevant data for project analysis
• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, reports, and specifications
• Utilize engineering software and tools to perform calculations and simulations
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines
• Stay up to date of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in transportation engineering
