Job summary

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company, seeks an experienced Transportation Engineer to join our Edmonton office. You will lead transportation projects focused on highways and roads, developing designs, cost estimates, and construction documents while coordinating QA/QC and construction supervision.

You will have an undergraduate civil engineering degree, 4+ years of related experience, and be a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, with key transportation electives or transportation project experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of transportation experience including experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Developing a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.
  • Conducting site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
  • Experience with construction supervision and contract administration.
  • QA/QC of reports, quantity estimates, and construction drawings.
  • Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects.
  • Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.

In this role you will be responsible for transportation projects with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure.
