Job summary

Associated Engineering in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings Mechanical team. You will provide mechanical engineering and consulting services with a focus on buildings design across sectors, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires PE licensure in Alberta or eligibility, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 5 years in consulting, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and load analysis software.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or able to be registered.
  • 5 years progressive experience in mechanical engineering within the consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in building load analysis software.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Experience with the assessment and design of building HVAC systems.
  • Experience with energy audits and modelling would be valuable too.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidiscipline design team and communicate to achieve project objectives.
  • Ability to conduct site reviews to assess condition, determine progress, deficiencies, and enforce contracts.
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate innovative thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.

The successful candidate will provide mechanical engineering/consulting services with a primary focus in buildings design services. Further, you will have experience in business development and the preparation of proposals.

Does this sound like you?
