Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in Dallas seeks a civil engineer to design roadway, storm sewer, waterline, and wastewater projects, and to develop quality plans, specifications, and estimates for multiple projects. You will coordinate with technical staff, review practices, and prepare hydrologic reports.

Collaboration in meetings with clients is essential. Required: ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, TX P.E.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Four years of experience in transportation and/or general civil design.
  • MicroStation and AutoCAD experience.
  • Experience managing multiple project deadlines.
  • Experience on TXDOT roadway/highway projects or other DOTs.
  • Experience with municipal street projects (roadway horizontal and vertical alignments, storm sewer design, water/wastewater design, traffic control plans, erosion/sediment control, pavement marking and signage).
  • Experience with GEOPAK and ORD roadway management design.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program preferred
  • Texas Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain license within 6 months or joining preferred
  • Four years of experience in transportation and/or general civil design
  • MicroStation and AutoCAD experience
  • Experience with managing multiple project deadlines

Required Skills
  • Understanding of complex transportation design elements MicroStation and/or AutoCAD drafting experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for preparation of project reports
  • Candidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team- oriented environment
