Job summary

HDR is seeking a Highway/Roads Engineer to lead the engineering development of roadway projects in Bend, Oregon. You will supervise CAD Designers and work under the PM to deliver detailed highway designs from feasibility through construction.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in roadway design, a PE or P.Eng, and strong communication skills. This employee-owned culture emphasizes collaboration, inclusion, and client-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
• Requires professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the location
• Hands-on experience with highways CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
• MS Office knowledge
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities
