Job summary

Arcadia LTC in Springfield, IL seeks a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers and homes. You will ensure a high level of customer service while safeguarding residents during every trip.

Responsibilities include supervising safety on the bus, assisting with boarding and exit, and handling routine vehicle inspections and documentation. Prior bus/van driving experience is preferred and a valid Illinois license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License with DOT vehicle licensure and physical as per facility requirements.
• Must be between ages 25 and 74 per facility insurance requirements.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and outings with a high level of customer service and safety.
• Monitor safety of residents during bus boarding, transit, and building entrances/exits.
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks and complete required paperwork.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

• Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
• Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.
