Job summary

Compass Senior Living in Roseburg, Oregon is seeking a compassionate Transportation Driver to support our elder residents. You will transport elders to medical appointments, activities, and community events, while prioritizing safety and dignity.

Join a team focused on vibrant elder care. You will maintain vehicle readiness, complete routine inspections, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. A clean driving record and TB health clearance are expected.

Qualifications

  • Proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • Eligible to drive and pass an MVR records check.
  • Capable of maintaining regular, reliable attendance.
  • Able to communicate with elders, families, team members, vendors, and the public.
  • Meet health requirements, including TB, if applicable.
  • Able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Will pass a criminal background check.
  • Demonstrate compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

What You’ll Do

The Transportation Driver is a personal care team member responsible for assuring that community-sponsored scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely, with elder safety and security as the primary priority.

As Transportation Driver, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks.

Here Are Some General Expectations
  • You will provide excellent customer service to elders, families, and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
  • You will take the initiative to prioritize elder safety and satisfaction.
  • Using the community-owned vehicle, you will transport elders to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping errands, and off-site events.
  • You will complete routine periodic vehicle inspection checks.
What You’ll Bring
  • You will bring proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • You will be eligible to drive and pass an MVR records check.
  • You will be capable of maintaining regular, reliable attendance.
  • You can communicate with elders, families, team members, vendors, and the public.
  • You will meet all health requirements, including TB, if applicable.
