Emerald Nursing & Rehab Lancaster is seeking a Transportation Driver in Lincoln, NE. The role involves safely transporting residents to appointments, activities, and other destinations while prioritizing safety and comfort.

• Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Previous experience in a driving or transportation role preferred in healthcare or senior care.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist residents as needed and to handle physical tasks related to vehicle operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Resident Transport: Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy sessions, social activities, and other destinations as scheduled.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on transportation vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues to the maintenance department.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and facility policies regarding vehicle safety and resident transportation.
• Assistance and Support: Provide assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, mileage, and any incidents or observations during trips.
• Communication: Coordinate with facility staff, family members, and external providers to ensure effective and timely transportation arrangements.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including coordinating with emergency services if needed.
• Customer Service: Exhibit professionalism and empathy while interacting with residents, family members, and facility staff.

This role ensures that residents receive timely, reliable transportation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and comfort.
