Job summary

Avenues at Royal Oaks is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely move patients to and from hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and private residences in a professional manner.

You will ensure resident safety during transit, assist with boarding and exiting, and perform routine vehicle inspections and required paperwork. Illinois driver’s license and prior driving experience are preferred.

Job Summary

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties

• Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
• Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
• Must be between the age of twenty-five (25) and seventy-four (74) per facility insurance requirements.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.
