Job summary

The Groves Rehab and Healthcare Center in Independence, Missouri seeks a Transportation Driver to ensure safe, timely transport of residents to appointments and services. This full-time role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and coordinates with the Facility Services Administrative Assistant.

Key duties include coordinating resident transport, supporting event-related trips, and performing vehicle checks and maintenance. CNA license preferred; Class E license required.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong interpersonal skills to relate to diverse people.
• Able to read, write, and follow verbal directions.
• Must have a Class E driver's license; CNA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and transport residents to destination in a safe and timely manner.
• Coordinate with staff to provide transportation for events to and from destinations.
• Perform non-resident trips to bank, post office, Church Headquarters, and other destinations as required.
• Coordinate the use of Rosewood Center vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle checks on Rosewood Center vehicles.
• Greet visitors in the office and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance as directed by supervisor.
• Adhere to Ethical Standards and Compliance Plan in all activities.

About the Role:

As a Transportation Driver at The Groves Rehab and Healthcare Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our residents to outside appointments and services. You will work under the direction of the Director of Environmental Services and be responsible for communicating and coordinating transportation with the Facility Services Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time position that requires a high degree of interpersonal relations skills, considerable initiative, and judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and transport residents to destination in a safe and timely manner
• Coordinate with other staff to provide transportation for Activity Events to and from agreed destinations
• Perform non-resident trips to the bank, post office, Church Headquarters, and other destinations as required
• Coordinate the use of Rosewood Center vehicles
• Perform preventive maintenance and vehicle checks on Rosewood Center vehicles
• Greet people as they come into the office and direct them as appropriate
• Maintain regular, reliable, and consistent attendance at the worksite as directed by supervisor
• Adhere to the provisions of The Groves Rehab and Healthcare Center's Ethical Standards, Guidelines/Compliance Plan, and exemplify high ethical standards in all activities and interactions

Qualifications:
