Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, clinics, and residences in a professional manner.

You will provide high-level customer service, ensure resident safety, and handle vehicle upkeep and paperwork. Prior driving experience and an Illinois license with DOT readiness are preferred, with age and insurance requirements per facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License meeting DOT requirements.
• Age requirement between 25 and 74 per facility insurance.
• Experience as a bus/van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and outings with safety standards.
• Ensure resident safety on the bus and at buildings during boarding and alighting.
• Perform vehicle upkeep, inspections, maintenance, and required paperwork.

• Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.

• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
