Hunt Engineering Group seeks an entry level Transportation Designer to assist a professional engineer in designing and detailing highway and bridge projects using CADD tools. You’ll participate in feasibility, preliminary design, and construction support across multiple offices in New York and Pennsylvania.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, are early in their career or aiming to earn an EIT within 1–2 years, and embrace teamwork, clear communication, and ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 0-4 years' experience or ability to get EIT within a year or 2.
• Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
• Knowledge of engineering principals & construction practices.

About the Role

This entry level Transportation Position will work with a professional engineer to design and detail plans (utilizing CADD) on a variety of projects, including Local, State and County highways and bridge rehabilitation/replacement projects. There will be opportunities to engage projects at all stages of design and construction including feasibility and preliminary design where design decisions and input are invaluable, roadway design, structural design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
• 0-4 ) years' experience or ability to get EIT within a year or 2.

• knowledge of engineering principals & construction practices
• Microstation and/or Open Roads Designer experience preferable, Some CADD (any CADD program) experience a must
• Good technical writing and communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and open to learning new and innovative design procedures and methods
