Job summary

State-of-West-Virgini DMV is seeking a DMV Agent 1 for the Summersville Regional Office to handle processing, recording, and issuing drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and related documents. Under supervision, you will apply motor vehicle laws and procedures; overtime and rotating shifts may be required.

Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and “at will.”

The Transportation DMV Agent 1 will report to the Summersville Regional Office of the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Under general supervision, this position performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents.

Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties as required.

TRAINING/EDUCATION

Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.

Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
