State-of-West-Virgini DMV is seeking a Transportation DMV Agent 1 to join the Kanawha City Regional Office. You will process, record, and issue drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations, and titles, following motor vehicle laws and policies.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least one year of related public contact work or bookkeeping, and a valid driver's license. Applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background check.

• One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
• A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained.
• All applicants must consent to fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.

The Transportation DMV Agent 1 will report to the Kanawha City Regional Office for the WV Division of Motor Vehicles. Under general supervision, this position performs full-performance level public contact work involving the processing, recording, and issuance of drivers’ license, vehicle registration, vehicle titles, and related documents in a Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regional office. Work involves knowledge, interpretation, and the application of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties as required.

**Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications**

TRAINING/EDUCATION:

• Graduation from standard high school or the equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

• One year of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
• Substitution: College credit from an accredited college or university, business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid driver's license is required and must be maintained. Work schedules are assigned and rotated on a regular basis. Overtime Hours may be required.
