Job summary

Kroger Distribution Center in Clackamas, OR is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to support the distribution center's transportation department. You will coordinate and dispatch over-the-road drivers and help uphold the company's core values of respect, safety, integrity and teamwork.

In this role you will manage driver communications, monitor shipments inbound and outbound, and collaborate with operations, vendors and buyers to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate backhauls.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Distribution or production experience preferred.
• Administration support experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch over-the-road drivers for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Trace, track, and locate shipments and communicate with drivers and operations.
• Set up equipment, drivers, and backhauls and manage driver schedules.
• Communicate with vendors and buyers and adapt to new programs.
