Job summary

VHB is hiring Transportation Design Interns in Atlanta, GA for the Spring 2027 semester. This full-time internship (40 hrs./week) offers exposure to transportation design and traffic engineering with real project impact.

Housing is not provided. You will work with VHB staff to advance projects, assist with calculations and reports, conduct field data collection, and help prepare preliminary and final construction plans.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Interest in transportation design and/or traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-offs and calculations

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with clients
• Self‑motivated with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
• Interest in transportation design and/or traffic engineering
