Job summary

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) is seeking design-focused interns to join the Design Center in Portland, OR. You will assist with real-world vehicle design projects, from briefs to final renderings, gaining hands-on experience across the full design process.

You will work with senior designers and cross-functional teams, developing mood boards, sketches, renderings, and concept models while receiving feedback in weekly critiques. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher in Transportation design or recently graduated within 1 year (May/June).
• Strong ideation sketching and renderings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present reviews.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop mood boards and design narratives.
• Create sketches and renderings; build visual presentations.
• Support concept model development and design exploration.
• Work with senior designers and cross-functional teams; participate in design critiques.
• Assist across the full design process from ideation to final execution.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture.
