Job summary

STV in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Civil Engineering Specialist to support transportation and infrastructure design from concept through construction. You'll work with transit, roadways, and multimodal projects, using OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and AutoCAD/Civil3D to produce plans and specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 3–5 years of related experience; EIT/EI preferred and PE encouraged. Hybrid arrangement between Virginia Beach and Richmond campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of progressive transportation/civil design experience.
• EIT/EI certification preferred; PE encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support civil and transportation design plans for transit, roadway, and multimodal projects.
• Prepare design drawings, calculations, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with roadway, transit, drainage, traffic, and structural teams.
• Apply standards (VDOT, AASHTO, ADA) to deliver constructible solutions.
• Use OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil3D for plan production.
