Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Chicago, IL seeks an Engineer-In-Training for Transportation Design to gain meaningful highway project experience, including roadway studies, drainage and utilities, and construction documents.

You will learn from Professional Engineers, assist on plan development, 3D roadway modeling, quantities, and scheduling while contributing to a diverse client base and community projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT registration or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 0–2 years civil engineering experience; internship/co-op acceptable.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist seasoned engineers on transportation projects and plan development.
• Support design tasks including geometry, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling and quantities.
• Coordinate with teams and clients across diverse transportation projects.
• Contribute to project scheduling, specs, and utility coordination.
