Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Job Description

Seeking a growth-oriented engineer to serve as our Highway (Civil) Department Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the growth of the department, focusing on project execution and supporting other Project Managers on transportation projects. This person will collaborate closely with clients and project teams, working throughout the project lifecycle to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in Highway Design.
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (a master’s may be substituted for 2 years of experience).
• P.E. license in N.J. (a NY State license is beneficial).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing, presentation skills, and problem-solving skills.
• This position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Possess strong engineering judgment, striving for quality and financial excellence.
• Good knowledge of NJDOT and NJTA processes and procedures; desire to mentor and train design staff.
• Work closely with regional and office leadership, advising on project approach, scope, cost, and schedule; identify opportunities for innovative solutions and strategic partnerships.
• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish needs and discuss design/permitting issues.
• This position is based in Princeton, NJ.
