Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in Chicago, IL, seeks a Transportation Decarbonization Specialist II to drive decarbonization across road, air, and ocean freight, developing and scaling sustainable solutions.

You will advance renewable fuels initiatives (SAF, renewable diesel, HVO), coordinate with carriers and tech partners, and support governance, SOPs, and training to reduce emissions across the global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, engineering, environmental science, supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
• 3+ years in sustainability, logistics, transportation, renewable fuels, or related field.
• Knowledge of SAF, HVO, renewable diesel, biomethane, and sustainable maritime fuels preferred.
• Understanding of carbon accounting and emissions methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale decarbonization programs across road, air, and ocean freight.
• Develop renewable fuel solutions including SAF, SMF, HVO, and low-emission tech.
• Collaborate with carriers, fuel suppliers, technology providers, and partners.
• Support qualification and onboarding of sustainable transportation solutions.
• Develop SOPs, implementation guides, and governance processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver programs.
• Monitor program performance and identify opportunities to expand.

Overview

The Transportation Decarbonization Specialist IIis responsible forsupporting the development, implementation, and scaling of decarbonization solutions across AIT's global transportation network. This role focuses on renewable fuels, sustainable transportation solutions, emissions reduction initiatives, and customer-facing sustainability programs across road, air, and ocean freight.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, and scaling of transportation decarbonization programs across road, air, and ocean freight.
• Assistin developing renewable fuel solutions, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), sustainable maritime fuel (SMF), HVO, renewable diesel, and other low-emission technologies.
• Collaborate with carriers, fuel suppliers, technology providers, and industry partners toidentifyand implementemissionsreduction opportunities.
• Support qualification and onboarding of sustainable transportation solutions and partners.
• Assistin developing SOPs, implementation guides, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with internal operational teams, procurement, finance, technology, and external partners to deliver sustainability programs.
• Monitor program performance andidentifyopportunities for expansion and optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, ora relatedfieldrequired.
• 3+ years of experience in sustainability,logistics, transportation, renewable fuels, supply chain, ora relatedfieldrequired.
• Knowledge of sustainable fuels, including SAF, HVO, renewable diesel, biomethane, and sustainable maritime fuels, preferred.
• Understandingofcarbon accounting principles and emissions methodologies.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously.
