Job summary

HDR, an employee-owned firm, seeks a Transportation Data Steward to shape data definitions and governance across the Transportation Business Group. This in-office role enables clarity, reuse, and trusted analytics to drive project delivery.

You will coordinate SMEs and technical authorities, define consistent data terminology, and empower teams to work from shared data models. Leadership is essential to scale data practices across HDR.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate a network of SME expertise across Transportation BG to define technical standards and align with enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms to support data models, reporting, automation, and AI use cases.
• Use your technical network to build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and usage expectations.
• Promote responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, formatting, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
• Promote data fluency across the Transportation Business Group.
