Cardinal Health is seeking a Transportation associate to support materials handling and product distribution. You will monitor freight, expedite urgent shipping, address delivery issues, and assist in projects while potentially training to operate equipment such as forklift and order picker.

This role includes a shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with hourly pay in the range of $15.00–$21.56 depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.

What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.

Shift Details

• 5:00 am to 1:30 pm - Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Ensure carriers follow guidelines in day-to-day operations based on Cardinal Health's policies and procedures
• Freight monitoring and KPI reporting
• Expediting urgent shipping requests
• Handle customer complaints, investigate delivery issues and report outcome to internal Customer Service Group
• Provide guidance or technical assistance to organizational projects
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as requires by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
