Job summary

Primo Brands in Kentwood, LA is seeking a Logistics/Transportation Coordinator to support 100+ carriers and optimize 6000+ weekly shipments across the region. You will monitor pickups, ensure on-time delivery, communicate with carriers, and coordinate with Uber Freight, warehouse teams, and planning.

The role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, willingness to work overtime including weekends, and a practical, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in Logistics preferred but not required.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication; multitasking and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Support RTM and regional team to ensure 100+ carriers’ pickups are on time.
• Drive carrier service performance and provide timely updates.
• Handle 300+ emails daily and respond to 100+ emails; keep inbox at 0 by end of day.
• Coordinate with Uber Freight to secure delivery appointments and dispatching.
• Communicate effectively; handle difficult conversations when needed.
• Work across teams with Uber Freight, Warehouse, Planning, and Customer Service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Regional Transportation Manager (RTM) and Resource in ensuring the 100+ carriers’ pickup on time, deliver on time, and meet applicable requirements across 6000+ weekly shipments in region spend.
• Drive carrier service performance in the region - on time pickup, on time delivery, and associated updates.
• Comfortable receiving 300+ emails a day, sending 100+ yourself, staying organized, and end the day with 0 unread emails.
• Work with Uber Freight to ensure delivery appointments are secured and dispatching is done in a timely manner to meet Primo Brands cost and service objectives.
• Excellent communication skills, orally and written, internally and externally, and comfortable delivering tough conversations at times.
• Ability to consistently manage multiple tasks at once, shift between them as needed, and prioritize accordingly.
• Quick learning and logical thinking skills.
• Able to take raw data, interpret it in Microsoft Excel, explain it in Microsoft Power Point, and be able to confidently speak to it.
• Comfortable asking questions to ensure understanding and able to "peel back the onion" to get to root cause of what happened, why, and who is responsible, when other parties may not be telling the whole picture.
• Work closely and cross functionally with Uber Freight, Warehouse Teams, Planning Teams, and Customer
• Service Tanker Fleets to drive day to day execution of the business and compliance (TCEQ).
• A willingness to continue to learn, not afraid to ask questions, and comfortable speaking up or leading meetings with various levels of leadership internally and externally.
• A "just do it" attitude with a drive to win and get the job done to support the business goals.
• All other tasks and duties as determined by the RTM and business objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or associated field preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Communication and interpersonal that are strong in both written and verbal form.
• The ability to multitask and have strong organizational skills.
• Willingness and want to learn.
• Successful in fast paced environment of competing priorities.
• Some travel may be required.
• Transportation experience preferred
• Experience in a TMS platform preferred.
• Experience in SAP preferred.
• Open to working overtime, including weekends and afterhours, as needed.
