Job summary

Lifespace Communities, based in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to shuttle residents and manage routes in Lombard, IL. You will ensure safe transportation, plan efficient routes, and engage residents in a positive, supportive manner.

Candidates should have a High school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years’ experience, a valid Class B CDL, and a clean driving record. An associate degree is preferred; Lifespace offers a mission-driven environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid class B commercial driver's license is required.
• Must have a clean driving record, no traffic violations.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents safely to scheduled destinations. Track assigned pick-ups and drop offs to ensure timely service.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicles as warranted.
• Provide for high level of resident engagement.
• Create, plan, and coordinate all routes for maximum efficiency and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operating condition of the bus and automobiles; schedule maintenance as necessary.
• Develop driver schedules to meet demand; determine vehicle choice and driver assignments for trips.
• Provide hands-on training to new drivers; retraining as assigned.

• Drive residents safely to scheduled destinations. Tracks assigned pick-ups and drop offs to ensure timely service.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicles as warranted.
• Provide for high level of resident engagement.
• Create, plan, and coordinate all routes for maximum efficiency and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operating condition of the bus and automobiles. Schedule maintenance service on vehicles as necessary.
• Develop driver schedules to meet the demand needs of the residents. Responsible for making substitutions and adjusting schedules as necessary. Determine vehicle choice and driver assignments for trips.
• Provide hands-on/on-the-job training to new drivers. Provides skill set retraining as assigned by supervisor.
