Performance Food Group in Elizabeth, New Jersey is seeking a Coordinator, Transportation to support delivery operations for our food service drivers. You will help ensure on-time arrivals, maintain driver information, and collaborate with the transportation team to improve processes.
The role requires a High School diploma and experience in transportation, with duties including tracking routes, handling driver payroll data, and maintaining DOT files.
Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers - providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
Schedule: Tuesday thru Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm or until completion of work assignments
Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am thru 3:30pm / Monday - Friday 9:00am thru 5:00pm

As a Coordinator, Transportation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our drivers is equipped with the information needed to deliver all products on time and safely. The Coordinator, Transportation supports the transportation team in improving production processes and maintaining daily business. This includes tracking, calculating, and coordinating a variety of driver and route information along with performing administrative tasks. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
6+ months in a transportation environment
Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

1+ years in transportation environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry
