AMT Engineering is looking for Transportation Construction Technicians to join their Charlotte, NC office. This role includes verifying that all work performed is in accordance with plans and specifications, acting as a liaison between DOT and contractors, and requires a valid driver’s license and transportation construction experience.

Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc (AMT) is hiring Transportation Construction Technicians to work from our Charlotte, NC office, covering cities, counties and towns throughout the NCDOT Districts.

Responsibilities

• Verify that all work performed is in accordance with plans & contractual specifications.
• Measure & verify pay quantities, dimensions & specifications.
• Act as liaison between DOT/Local Agency Project Manager and prime contractor.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability for overtime, nights and weekends as required.
• Independent and team-oriented work style.
• Background check clearance.
• Transportation construction experience with NCDOT; preferred NCDOT certifications (Asphalt Roadway, CEPSCI, Earthwork & Concrete).
• Willingness to train entry-level candidates; experience and certifications valued.
