Job summary

ATCS's Construction Services group in Maryland is expanding, inviting inspectors at all experience levels to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary range of $19.23 to $50 per year, with potential annual bonus around 2% of salary and strong benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time inspection experience in highway, transit and/or facilities construction.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the State of Maryland as required.
• A vehicle in good working condition to report for work at any required site.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful acquisition and maintenance of inspection training and certifications (ACI, Soils & Aggregates, HMA, Traffic Control, Erosion & Sediment Control, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projects.
• Write daily progress reports.
• Oversee contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents, reading and interpretation of contract documents to verify safe construction practices.
• Perform field tests on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA).
• Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments.
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting.

Construction Inspectors will:

• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting, responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantities

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of full-time inspection experience in highway, transit and/or facilities Construction

• Must be eligible to work in the United States

The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
