Primary Responsibilities include:
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
- Supervise a staff of multiple Inspectors.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site inspections to verify construction activities align with approved plans, specifications, and codes for compliance.
- Assign, schedule, and maintain inspection staff throughout all project phases.
- Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photos, notes, and reports.
- Prepare inspection reports outlining findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
- Communicate inspection results and issues with contractors, project managers, and engineers.
- Provide guidance on corrective measures for non-compliant elements.
- Monitor quality of materials and workmanship to meet standards.
- Identify and report deviations from plans and specifications.
- Evaluate sites for safety compliance and address hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth progress.
- Attend meetings to provide updates and address concerns.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- NICET Certification or equivalent experience recognized by PennDOT.
- PennDOT Concrete Certification preferred.
- NECEPT Asphalt Certification preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Access and navigate construction sites.
- Transverse uneven grounds.
- Work environments include office, field, and construction sites with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, and weather conditions.
